                       Our 
                    budget                           DISER’s budget measures will underpin a multi-year agenda to leverage the Government’s investments and 
                  measures                                                                   drive a strong recovery in Australia’s labour market.
         Key Portfolio Budget Measures
             Manufacturing     We will continue to deliver the Modern Manufacturing Strategy as a key priority for the department, including complementary 
                               new measures to support Australian manufacturers and businesses in the space, fashion and automotive sectors.
                Energy         We will continue to drive Australia’s gas-fired recovery, strengthen Australia’s long-term fuel security, and maintain 
                               affordability, reliability and security in the electricity system through new measures.
                Emissions      We will deliver new measures to drive investment in low emissions technology development to help meet Australia’s emissions 
                               targets and support job creation, especially in regional communities. 
                Northern       We will lead the Next Five Year Plan for Northern Australia, promoting business development and addressing industry 
                Australia      needs through capitalising on strengths of the region.
               Resources        We will unlock supplies and open new markets for Australia’s commodities, and secure the resources sector’s future 
                                through a new Global Resources Strategy.
                                We will deliver key elements of the Government’s Digital Economy Strategy, helping to support Australia to become a 
                 Digital        global leader in responsible AI development and adoption, and to position Australia as a leading digital economy by 
                                2030.
                                We will continue to boost Australia’s science capability and international collaboration, including as a co-host and leader of 
                Science         the Square Kilometre Array radio telescope and supporting the Next Generation of Women in STEM.
