FIELDWORK
DEGREE BL 651A Introduction to Environmental Biology Skills The experiential learning elements
REQUIREMENTS BL 650A Environmental Biology Colloquium & Grant Writing of this program include 3-4 days of
35 credit hours BL 652 Environmental Biostatistics & Research Design pre-semester fieldwork in a grassland
BL 650B Environmental Biology Colloquium & Project environment. Data collected is used
BL 651B Environmental Biology Fieldwork II in future courses. One-week fieldwork
BL 654 Advanced Ecology and Modeling projects take place in Colorado during
BL 656 Advanced Ecology both the fall and spring semesters.

Information Systems EXTERNSHIP & RESEARCH
BL 662 Aquatic Ecology & Bioassessment Students may choose between an
BL 664A Wetland Delineation Seminar integrated externship or graduate
BL 664B Environmental Conservation and Restoration Seminar research project, which includes a
ENVS 650 Environmental Regulation and Impact Assessment faculty-directed academic experience
