        How the Federal Regulations are Numbered/Classified 
                                     
         Title 2 CFR Part 200       Office of Management and Budget (OMB’s) directive to Federal 
                                    Agencies to implement the Uniform Guidance (UG).  Includes the 
                                    original language for the Uniform Guidance.  Often shortened to 2 
                                    CFR 200. 
                                     
         Title 2 CFR Part XXX       Agencies adoption of the UG where XXX are the different agencies.   
                                     
          For example:               
          2 CFR 300                 Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) adoption of the 
                                                       UG 
          2 CFR 1100                 
                                    Department of Defense’s (DOD) adoption of the UG 
          2 CFR 1800                 
                                    NASA’s adoption of the UG 
                                     
        Title XX CFR Part XXX        
                                    Each agency also has its own Title where it then directs its recipients 
                                    (e.g., the UW) to adopt the UG.
