• In May 2010 ITU-T established Focus Group on Cloud
Computing and tasked it to prepare proposal how ITU-T
should tackle Cloud Computing related study to January
2012 TSAG meeting.
• ISO/IEC JTC1 SC38 SGCC was established in May 2010
and developed the final report in September 2011,
proposing to transform SG into new WG3 and develop
terminology and architecture standard.
• DMTF and SNIA submitted application for ISO/IEC JTC1
PAS Submitter Status in September 2011.

Challenges
Challenges
• Although Cloud Services are realized by both IT
and Telecom technologies, standardization
efforts from telecommunication perspectives
have not been well undertaken yet,
• Present TTC member does not include either IT
vendors or Cloud Service Providers,
• Close collaboration between IT and Telecom
sectors is required to develop open cloud
computing specification to realize portability,
interoperability and security.
