Over two thirds of the Earth is covered with
water. Water doesn’t leave the Earth, it gets
cleansed through the water cycle. The water
cycle is the journey of water. It starts with
the sea/ocean and then into the clouds.
After that, it turns to rain, to rivers/streams
and then back into the sea/ocean again.
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that the water
cycle is also known as the
hydrologic cycle?
Did you know that the Earth has
been recycling water for over
four billion years?
Did you know that when you
drink water, you swallow the
same water that King
Tutankhamun and the Romans
drank?
1.Evaporation
Evaporation is when the water in the
ocean warms up and bubbles. This
turns it into a gas known as water
vapour. This is evaporation.
2.Condensation
After the first process, the water vapour then rises
and collects in the clouds. When the water cools, it
condenses and turns back to liquid.
3.Precipitation
Once it condensates, it falls back to the
Earth as rain, hail or even snow.
