                     Persuasive Writing
        1.  Persuasive writing is also referred to as 
            argumentative writing or opinion writing.
        2.  Persuasive writing is a form of nonfiction 
            writing that encourages careful word choice, 
            the development of logical arguments, and a 
            cohesive summary.
        3.  Persuasive writing is defined as presenting 
            reasons and examples to influence action or 
            thought.

      writing:
      A. Advertising
      B. Letter to the editor
      C. Politics
      D. Essays  
    Three main means of persuasion
  5. Reason – appealing to your audience’s rationality 
  and logic.  Giving your point of view in an informed 
  and fair manner.
  6. Emotion – creating feelings in your audience that 
  lead them to your point of view.
  7. Beliefs – using the values and beliefs of your 
  audience to build your argument.
  You can use all of these for persuasive writing.
