We develop leaders by delivering innovative experiential learning, conducting relevant research, and providing community and global service. We build life-long relationships among faculty, staff, and students. • Teaching agricultural sciences has been an integral part of Tarleton since its founding in 1899. For its first 50 years, the school was known as John Tarleton Agricultural College. • COANR enrollment exceeds 2,300 students. • Graduates are known for high performance and their know-how o Contribute meaningfully to their professions in animal science, agribusiness, education, wildlife science, ecosystem sciences. o Many of our graduates go on to veterinary or other professional schools. • COANR is made up of 3 academic departments: o Agricultural Education and Communication o Animal Science o Wildlife and Natural Resources • Tours of the agricultural facilities can be scheduled through the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at (254) 968- 9227. 4
