There are so many treatises related to Agriculture, Arts, Literature, Science, Philosophy, Management, Technology, Ayurveda, Law etc. are well preserved in Sanskrit. One can access the scientific knowledge inherited in Sanskrit literature by learning the language through direct communicative method at Non Formal Sanskrit Education Centre. Aims 1. To initiate Sanskrit learning. 2. To introduce the Science and literature in Sanskrit language. 3. To get a working knowledge in illustrious Sanskrit, the Scientific Language of the world. Method of Teaching Communicative method. Name & Duration of the Course 1." Certificate Course in Sanskrit Language". (1 Year) 2." Diploma in Sanskrit Language". (1 Year) Eligibility for Admission 1. Any person desirous of Sanskrit learning is eligible for admission to the "Certificate Coursein Sanskrit Language". 2. Who have passed the First Course "Certificate Course in Sanskrit Language" conducted by the Central Sanskrit University will be eligible for admission in the Second Course naming "Diploma in Sanskrit Language". Nature of Course It is a Part-time course. Enrolment Fee Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) for each Course. How to Apply Submit the filled in application at the Centre. Enrolment fee may be deposited with the Authorised Officer/Teacher of the Centre. Study Material Study material will be provided by Central Sanskrit University. This will include First and Second Level books. Time of Classes The time table for classes will be decided by the Institution as per convenience of the learners. Examination Examination will be conducted by Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi on completion of the course.The Certificate will be issued to learners passed in the examination. This course will provide basic knowledge for higher studies in Sanskrit/Yoga/ Ayurveda/ various Distance Education programmes of Central Sanskrit University. Course of Studies Prathama Diksha (First Level) Published by the Central Sanskrit University - Under it, five books Varnamala Vakya-vyavaharah Sambhashanam and Parishishtam are taught in simple Sanskrit. A minimum period of 120 hours is required to complete the course. First 4 Stabakas of Dvitiya Diksha (Second Level) published by the Central Sanskrit University -Through Sanskrit Subhashitas, stories and different types of special exercises compiled in Vyavahara-pradeepah, simple Sanskrit grammar is taught. A minimum period of 120 hours is required for this course. Reading material (First Level and Second Level) will be provided by the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
