                        INTRODUCTION

Korean 2 is an upper novice/lower intermediate module for students who passed LAK1201 (Korean 1) at
NUS, or passed a placement test for Korean 2. This course is designed in a blended learning mode, further
adopted flipped classroom. Therefore, studying an eLecture is significant in equipping students with
required knowledge for activities in class, so that students would understand what to expect in coming
                        lectures.
Regarding contents, we will introduce vocabularies and functions in talking about jobs, transport,
direction, weather, food, party, sports, shopping, gathering, and phone-conversation. Proposed topics are
everyday life based, hence extremely frequent in everyday conversation to make it useful and practical.
Further, I will proceed to the next level of handling those topics by inviting additional activities. In other
words, students are expected to make use of knowledge achieved from the books and lectures in more
authentic situations. The course will provide venues to practise on above topics and functions, and the
assessments to evaluate the achievement of the aim.
At the end of the course, students are expected to achieve independent and enhance
autonomous learning strategy so that they can continue to learn Korean independently in and out of
                        classroom.

This is a submission-based assessment, meaning linguistic mistakes are not counted for a grade. Weekly
